For nearly two decades, my life’s work and opportunity have been traveling the country and the world, reporting on events and people. It has always been the most rewarding of vocations.

I’ve had grueling days that stretched without sleep into a week. I’ve sat down with newsmakers, celebrities, and politicos. I’ve rode into hurricanes. I’ve had amazing access to the arduous and amazing process of electing an American President. I’ve seen people survive the worst of circumstances. Through it all, I have been educated in the complexities of our world.

Journalism is a responsibility that can save lives, dispense truths, and serve justice. The world is not our own, but we are the keepers of all that is in it. This is my small part.

As President of latakoo, Inc., a journalism focused video technology company, I hope our dedicated team at latakoo can add to the journalists’ tool box, thereby giving people more access to truth and democracy.
